GFCI Outlets Installation
GFCI outlets protect against electric shock and house fires. A Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI) are usually installed in a bathroom, kitchen, and outdoor areas. They work by turning off a circuit when electricity flows in an unintended direction, like flowing through water or a person. When proper flow of electricity is restored you can press the reset button and reset the circuit.

Once having GFCI Outlets installed in your home it is encouraged to test them monthly. Pressing the “test” button next to the “reset” button should open the circuit and not circulate power. If power continues to flow then the GFCI circuit is not working and should be replaced promptly.
